Virtual city Walks

A virtual city walk in Copenhagen is a different way of experiencing and feeling the history, architecture and life of the Danish Golden Age.

In streets and on squares, our eyes encounter both monumental buildings and neo-classical houses built for the affluent middle classes. These formed the framework around a colourful assembly of artists, philosophers, ordinary citizens and impertinent traders. They were the city’s pulse. With a focus on their stories and the marks they left, the city of today can be seen in a perspective that might help to explain the quite special atmosphere that is characteristic of it.

Three different virtual walks provide an opportunity to experience Golden Age Copenhagen. They can be seen here in electronic versions

The Copenhagen City Environment of the Golden Age
Neo-classical Copenhagen
Frederiksberg Have

If you wish to do a city walk in the real streets of Copenhagen, please contact the Copenhagen City Museum for further information.
